An employee productivity tool for Microsoft Teams
If your company runs on Microsoft Teams, that is where productivity insights should show up. Tickin turns each clock-in into hours, attendance, breaks and overtime, and answers inside Teams when you message @Tickin. Monitoring is optional and opt-in: nothing watches anyone's screen unless an admin switches it on.
Clock-ins become productivity data
Employees clock in with @Tickin start, take a break with @Tickin break and clock out with @Tickin end. Each becomes part of an accurate record: hours worked against required hours, late starts and early finishes, break length and overtime. No timesheets, and the same record feeds attendance reports and payroll.
Manager views without leaving Teams
@Tickin team today shows who is working, late, early, on a break or on leave right now. @Tickin summary gives a one-screen summary of the people you are responsible for, @Tickin dashboard lists pending approvals and anything unusual today, and @Tickin insights shows attendance trends for your team. Answers come back as Adaptive Cards in the chat.
Reports that arrive on their own
@Tickin report today, week or month returns the attendance figures for the period, and an admin can subscribe a channel to a daily, weekly or monthly report with @Tickin report subscribe, so the numbers land in Teams without anyone asking.
Approvals in the same place
Leave requests and attendance corrections arrive as cards with Approve and Reject buttons, and @Tickin approvals lists everything waiting on you. Decisions sync to the web app at once.
Optional, opt-in monitoring
If you want to see which applications and websites the working day went to, Tickin can record that through the Desktop App add-on. Buying the add-on does not start it: an admin has to switch monitoring on, and it is off by default. Once it is on, it records the active application, the website domain (not the full URL or page content) and a periodic screenshot, only while someone is clocked in and working. It never records keystroke content, anything during breaks or idle time, or anything at all for admins. Every employee can see their own record, and an admin can switch it off at any time; capture stops on every device within about ten minutes. With monitoring on, each person can pull their own productivity summary in Teams with @Tickin productivity.
Setup and plan
The Microsoft Teams integration is available on the Scale plan and is configured per workspace with your own Azure Bot, so you control how Tickin connects to your Teams environment. Monitoring additionally needs the Desktop App add-on.
Frequently asked questions
- What is an employee productivity tool for Microsoft Teams?
- An app that shows how the team's working day went (hours, attendance, breaks, overtime) inside Teams, so managers get answers in the chat. Tickin builds that from the clock-ins people make with @Tickin start and @Tickin end.
- Does Tickin monitor employees through Teams?
- No. Optional activity and screenshot monitoring runs only through the Tickin Desktop App add-on, and only after an admin switches it on. In Teams, Tickin answers the messages sent to it.
- Which plan includes Microsoft Teams?
- The Scale plan. Slack is included on every plan, including Free for up to 10 employees. Optional monitoring needs the Desktop App add-on.
- Can employees see their own productivity data?
- Yes. Everyone can see their own record, and with monitoring on they can pull their own productivity summary in Teams with @Tickin productivity. They cannot see anyone else's.
