Online payroll and salary slips, without the spreadsheet

Send accurate, itemized salary slips to every employee without rebuilding a spreadsheet each month. Tickin turns attendance, leave, and overtime into ready payslips and emails each one as a PDF. Payroll is on the Growth plan.

Salary slips delivered automatically as PDFs

Every employee gets their payslip as a PDF sent straight to their email, so there is no printing, no manual sharing, and no chasing HR for a copy. Payroll stops being a monthly scramble and becomes a repeatable run you can trust. Each slip is generated from the same source data your workspace already tracks, so what employees receive matches what your reports show.

Itemized earnings and deductions on every payslip

Each payslip breaks pay down line by line: gross pay, base salary, overtime, and allowances on the earnings side, then every deduction on its own line including taxes, insurance, and advances, ending with net pay. Employees can see exactly how their number was reached, which cuts payroll questions and disputes. Clear, itemized slips also make audits and record keeping far simpler.

Employees acknowledge their payslip

Each employee can acknowledge their payslip once they have reviewed it, and Tickin records when they did. Every payslip is acknowledged for its own pay period, so someone paid weekly acknowledges each weekly payslip. Admins get a month-by-month list of who has acknowledged their monthly payslip and who is still pending, in the web app and from chat. If you replace a payslip, the earlier acknowledgement is removed, because it was of the old figures, and the employee acknowledges the new one. An acknowledgement is a record that the employee reviewed their payslip, not an e-signature.

Attendance, leave, and overtime feed payroll automatically

Your monthly required hours are calculated as daily working hours multiplied by working days, or set with a manual override when you need one. Attendance, leave, and overtime flow into payroll on their own, so hours worked translate into pay without re-keying anything. Confirmed overtime moves through the approval queue and into the monthly report (available on the Growth plan), so what gets paid is what was actually approved. When a forgotten clock-out is closed automatically, extra time beyond the person's target hours becomes a pending overtime request, never approved automatically, so it is paid only if someone approves it.

Tax presets and per-workspace currency

Tickin ships income-tax presets and brackets for 17 markets as a starting point: an admin reviews and confirms them, or edits them, before they are used. Each preset covers the most common salaried case, for example federal income tax for a single filer in the US and federal slabs only in Canada; statutory contributions and regional taxes are added as deduction components. Currency is set per workspace, so pay reflects where your team operates. If you are in Pakistan, you can also use the free Pakistan salary tax calculator to check take-home figures before you run payroll.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tickin a payroll service?
No. Tickin isn't a payroll service: it doesn't file taxes or pay employees. It is payroll software that calculates each person's pay from attendance, leave and overtime, applies your market's tax preset, and sends each employee an itemized PDF payslip. Filing returns and paying salaries stay with you, your bank or your accountant.
How do I run payroll in Tickin?
At the end of each pay period an admin opens Monthly payroll, which lists every monthly-paid employee as generated, not run yet, or unable to run and why. Preview the run, check each employee's figures and confirm it; Tickin then produces the payslips from the attendance, leave and approved overtime already in your workspace, so nothing is re-keyed from a spreadsheet. A run only creates payslips that do not exist yet, so a second click or a second admin cannot run the same month twice. Payroll is on the Growth plan.
Can I fix one employee's payslip after running payroll?
Yes. Re-run just that employee from Monthly payroll. Tickin shows the old and the new net pay before you confirm, then recalculates and replaces their payslip. If the employee had already acknowledged the old payslip, the re-run clears that acknowledgement so they can confirm the new one, and the change is kept in the audit log.
What if a weekly-paid employee did not work one week?
On the Scale plan, weekly payroll closes weeks in order. If an hourly, weekly-paid employee recorded no hours in a week, an admin can mark that week as no work, so it produces no payslip and no pay and the next week can be run. Marking a week can be undone at any time.
How do employees receive their salary slips?
Each salary slip is generated as a PDF and delivered to the employee's email address, so every person gets their own copy without any manual sharing.
What appears on a Tickin payslip?
Payslips are fully itemized. They show gross pay, base salary, overtime, and allowances, then list each deduction on its own line, including taxes, insurance, and advances, and finish with net pay.
Does Tickin handle tax by country?
Tickin includes income-tax presets for 17 markets as a starting point that an admin reviews and confirms. They cover the most common salaried case, not every rule: for example, the US preset is federal income tax for a single filer, without FICA or state tax. Statutory contributions and regional taxes can be added as deduction components. Tickin doesn't file taxes.
How does overtime get into payroll?
Attendance, leave, and overtime feed payroll automatically. Confirmed overtime flows into the approval queue and the monthly report (available on the Growth plan), so only approved overtime is reflected in pay.
How are monthly required hours calculated?
Monthly required hours are calculated as daily working hours multiplied by working days. You can also set a manual override when a month needs a different figure.
Can employees confirm they have seen their payslip?
Yes. Employees can acknowledge each payslip after reviewing it, one acknowledgement per pay period, and admins see who has acknowledged their monthly payslip and who is still pending. Replacing a payslip clears the old acknowledgement so the employee confirms the new figures. It is a record of review, not an e-signature.
